The KiWi 5000 is the ideal companion product for the popular Nikon CoolPix 5000 digital camera. The KiWi 5000 includes the KiWi 990 Bracket and the KiWi 5000 Upgrade Kit. The Upgrade Kit consists of a sliding plastic camera cradle and a label that shows the proper mounting locations for the new Nikon 19mm wide-angle lens, the Nikon 8mm fisheye lens, or any third-party add on lens.

The KiWi 5000 works with the leading Photographic VR applications such as those from Apple, iPIX, iSeeMedia, VR Toolbox and others. Create panoramas that are viewable with QuickTime VR, iPIX, IVR, and Java technologies all with the same panoramic tripod head.

The KiWi 5000 comes with the click-stop enabled tripod head, a 2-axis bubble level, a camera slider/positioner, a captive attachment knob and four (2, 5, 12, 18) detent discs.

The KiWi 5000 has three mounting locations to accomodate the Nikon standard, 19mm wide-angle, and 8mm fish-eye lenses. There is no need to figure out the nodal point as we’ve done that for you. There is also a slot that will let you position the camera anywhere along the bracket to support any other lenses you desire. Additional detent discs (2 thru 22) are available.

The KiWi 5000 has been designed from the outset to work with the Nikon fisheye lens as only a portion of the circular mounting base is visible in the fisheye shot.

The KiWi 5000 can be purchased separately or with stitching software, utilities or transport cases. Examples include, but are not limited to the Apple QuickTime VR Authoring Studio, iSeeMedia PhotoVista and VR PanoWorx/VR Worx from VR Toolbox. Optional QuickTilt micro-leveling head, tripods, Pelican transport cases and other accessories.
