Kaidan Announces New Options for Multi-Row VR Panorama Technologies

The
QuickPan™ Spherical Panoramic Tripod Head enables quick and accurate
single or multi-row photography through a unique adjustable friction
mechanism. A friction clutch, similar to a hinged laptop computer
screen, keeps the camera arm from falling in an uncontrolled
manner. Just loosen the knob and rotate the arm to the desired position.
The mechanism rotates the camera while keeping the center of the
lens fixed around both axes of rotation, a requirement for seamless
spherical photographic panoramas.

The QPS-1 will work with current and future multi-row
stitching applications. Great examples of these applications are the
freeware programs developed by Professor Helmut Dersch. With his utility
programs -
PT Stitcher - a high quality, simple to use, all format stitching
software
Panorama Tools - a Photoshop plug-in for panorama creation,
editing and remapping
PTViewer - a high quality spherical viewer, with standalone
and java versions for many platforms.
With these programs you can create wide field-of-view images that
can be viewed with a variety of plug-ins and viewers. |
