Kaidan
announces their next generation of QTVR/VR tripod heads, the QPX-2.
The QuickPan Magnum replaces the QP-4 and QP-6 models previously sold
by Kaidan, and offers new features and refinements at reduced prices.
Featured on
the Magnum is Kaidan's new QPU-2 camera bracket. The QPU-2 is based
on the highly successful KiWi model and provides a sturdy, collapsible
system for the mounting and adjusting of a wide variety of cameras
and camcorders. Like the KiWi, the QPU-2 is constructed of black
anodized aluminum and employs captive fasteners and locking mechanisms.
The base has
a twin-axis bubble level that clearly shows the level status, even
when the unit is located at eyelevel.
The
QPX-2 has two options, a Landscape Bracket
(right-angle adapter) for positioning the camera in the landscape
orientation (QPLB-1) and a Counterweighting Kit (QPCK-1) used to balance
large cameras or camcorders that have a center of mass well behind
the pivot axis. The QPX-2 comes with a 30-day return policy. (Note:
some restocking fees may apply.) |

QuickPan Magnum can be used as a single-row object movie rig.
Kaidan offers a number of different sized pedestal
supports that simply screw onto the threaded post of the
panhead in place of the camera bracket used to shoot panoramas.
Just attach the object that you wish to photograph onto the
pedestal with double-stick tape or non-permanent glue, adjust
the pedestal height, and adjust the camera and backdrop -- and
'click-shoot' your way to your first object movie. Object movie
software can be purchased separately. |
